Coins accrue in the background on eligible bookings, so they reward booking through Trip.com repeatedly rather than any single transaction.

Higher loyalty tiers earn coins faster — the top tiers have advertised meaningfully accelerated earning — and add perks such as airport lounge access, an eSIM data allowance, or free attraction tickets. For frequent travelers, the tier you sit in changes the effective discount more than a one-off promo code.

A chunk of Trip.com's best pricing is gated behind the mobile app and behind being logged in. App-only flash deals and 'Hotel Member' rates surface prices you won't see as an anonymous browser on the desktop site. Before booking anything, it's worth comparing the signed-in app price against the price you see logged out — the same room or fare can differ once member pricing applies.

Trip.com backs bookings with a couple of guarantees worth knowing. A price-match style guarantee: if you find the same option cheaper on another site, Trip.com has offered to match it and refund the difference — which effectively lets you book now and still capture a lower price you spot afterward. And a Flight & Hotel Booking Guarantee lets you cancel a hotel booking without penalty if a flight change means you can't make check-in. Neither guarantee is automatic paperwork you want to skip; read the conditions, because refund and free-cancellation rules vary by rate type.

Trip.com's seasonal promotions spread discounts across categories rather than one blanket sale — app-only flight flash sales, discounted hotel nights, car rentals, airport rides and member perks each get their own promotion during travel-heavy months. That means the deepest cut in, say, July might be on hotels one week and airport transfers the next, so the category you're booking determines where to look for the current offer.
